This is a large property that accommodates tour groups so sometimes there is a lot of people checking in and at breakfast etc. Overall, the hotel has a lot of amenities, is comfortable and the location is within walking distance from the city walls. There is some free parking immediately outside the front door of the hotel on the hotel's property so that is convenient if you can get it. Otherwise, underground parking is available for a fee.

Very clean and beautiful hotel, spacious room, two big outdoor pools and a jacuzzi in a beautifully designed garden with plenty of sunbeds. (there is also an indoor pool and a gym, but we didn't use it). Beach resort vibe even if no sea nearby :) The breakfast was great, we especially enjoyed breakfast outside on the terrace with pool/garden views. Location is excellent, just at the border of the historical center, so you don't need to drive/walk with your luggage in the old town narrow streets while you can easily settle down and walk to all the places of interest in 5-10 min. There is also a free parking area a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. We've had a great time in Evora, I'd be happy to come back in a few years and stay there again :)

Really liked the place overall, and would definitely recommend and come back. There are just some nitpicks that would made my stay an overall 10/10. I understand the rationale behind the interior swimming pool booking hours, but that really takes away a bit of the freedom of sightseeing the city and just go to the pool on return; additionally, despite not making a huge difference, bathroom door didn’t fully close and the sink faucet is far from the centre and therefore inconvenient. The gym facilities could also be upgraded and improved.

Quite spatious and modern rooms that had all you need. The outside pool (unheated) is clean and well maintained. lots of room to sit or lay down at the pool. The breakfast and dinner buffet are not "fine dining" but do have all that you might want/need. The hotel is situated just outside off Evora's city walls, only a 5min walk away.

Our first stay at this hotel after my original booking at another hotel was cancelled and it will not be our last!! Excellent location just outside the city walls and within easy walking distance of the centre. A choice of parking - either free in the spaces at the front of the hotel (although they get full quickly) , free on some adjoining land (I don't think this is connected to the hotel) or paid in a secure underground car park at a very reasonable 7 Euros a night. Breakfast in the restaurant area just off the large lobby which is very light and airy. Our room was large & comfortable with a free bottle of water. There are two swimming pools - indoor & outdoor and a gym, although we didn't make use of any of these facilities. Staff were friendly & helpful.

The Hotel location was great and just a ten-minute walk to the centre of Evora. The facilities were fantastic with 4 pools and a great pool bar/restaurant. All the staff were fantastic and the quality and pricing of the food and drink was outstanding. We had the buffet breakfast every morning and it had everything anyone would need. We would highly recommend the Villa Gale Evora

The hotel is more luxurious than we expected. If you're coming with a car as we were, it is also a perfect location just outside the old town walls so parking is a breeze and it's just a short walk to all the sites. The room was spacious and extremely well appointed. The staff were uniformly kind and helpful. I was totally surprised to discover that they provided a complete stand-alone gluten-free breakfast when all I had asked was whether they had gluten-free options in their breakfast offerings.
